Questions Every Serious Applicant Asks

The real questions every serious dealer applicant asks before signing. Straight answers, no marketing speak.

How does APEKS compare to Trimble, Leica, and Topcon?
Two real advantages. First, price: those international brands are so expensive that mostly only government bodies can afford them — individual surveyors and construction crews rarely use them. APEKS delivers comparable capability at a price the wider market can actually buy. Second, channels: APEKS uses the Unicore UM980 board with far more tracking channels than their roughly 200-channel boards. More channels means faster, more reliable fixes under building or tree obstruction — where their receivers often refuse to fix at all, APEKS can still fix and keep measuring. Their accuracy can be marginally more stable when fixed, but their efficiency is lower in tough environments.
Minimum order quantity?
Reseller: 2 units. Authorized Dealer: 10 units. Master Dealer: 30 units. Flexible on first order for qualified applicants in priority regions.
Country exclusivity guarantee?
Yes, for Master Dealers (Tier 1) — contractual country exclusivity. Authorized Dealers get city/province exclusivity. Resellers operate open market.
OEM / private-label rebranding?
Yes — and it isn't gated by dealer tier. As long as you hit the volume, we can do it. OEM has a minimum order quantity: 50 units for RTK receivers and 50 units for total stations. ODM means we develop an entirely new product model designed for you; in that case the tooling/mould cost is borne by you.
Warranty and process?
2-year warranty on the receiver against non-human-caused faults. Diagnosis flow: when a customer's device fails, we first run a remote diagnosis via video call or a recorded clip to identify the cause. If it's a hardware fault, we ship the replacement part with a step-by-step repair video so you can fix it yourself. If the repair is too complex, send the unit back to us and we'll repair it — or replace it with a new machine.
Payment terms?
We accept credit card, VISA, PayPal, and bank T/T. We hold local accounts in several countries — including Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, and Mexico — for easy transfers. All machines are in stock: standard terms are 100% payment before shipment. For dealers ordering more than 60 units, we support 50% deposit and 50% balance within 45 days, or settled before the next order is placed.
How does lead forwarding work?
APEKS has multi-channel lead generation. End users in your country are referred directly to our local dealer — we forward the customer's contact details and inquiry content within 1 business day so you can connect and follow up directly. No referral fee.
Can I sell on Amazon / Mercado Libre / AliExpress?
Resellers: yes, open market including marketplaces. Authorized & Master Dealers: marketplace listings need pre-approval to prevent price erosion in protected territories. MAP guidance provided for all SKUs.
What if I miss annual sales target?
Year 1: no penalty — partners in market development. Year 2+: missing by 30% triggers 90-day improvement plan. Missing 50%+ for 2 consecutive years may result in tier demotion, never abrupt termination.
